10 Most Powerful Dog Breeds In The World

Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a breed of dog that needs little introduction. This well-known and recognizable breed has only two colors in its coat: brown and black.

They have powerful and very muscular bodies. Their heads are broad and rounded, their muzzle well-developed with teeth that meet in a scissor bite and powerful jaws that can snap a bone in two.

They might not be the tallest or widest dog, but they are very stout and strong with full-grown males measuring 24 to 27 inches (60 to 68 centimeters) in height and weighing 95 to 130 pounds (43 to 58 kilograms).

They have a menacing appearance. This dog has been called a ‘junkyard dog' because you'll often find them guarding property with fences.

However, many people don't know they were bred to drive cattle to the market.

And although they might not seem that strong, after the cattle were butchered the dogs would then be used to pull carts for the butchers.

And even though German Shepherds are well-known for being police and military dogs, Rottweilers were among the earliest police dogs and have been used in the military with great success.
