Everyone knows the magic of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, but have you heard of Rudie the three-legged deer? Two days after he was born, caring strangers rushed him to a local vet hospital for a serious injury. The poor deer was missing a leg. The vet hospital was able to save him, but no one knew what to do with him next.

Thankfully, a veterinary technician at the hospital stepped up and saw a lot of potential in Rudie. She brought him home and welcomed him to all the members of her family: both human and animal.

Rudie had to get used to his new life, but he started to thrive. Not only that, the dogs in the family adopted Rudie as one of their own and taught him how to run and play.

This sweet creature spends his days brightening the lives of those around him, visiting nursing homes, and playing with his canine pack members. Rudie has amassed a following on social media, and there’s no stopping this Aussie fallow deer.
