Bear Discovered Dangling Under A Bridge Trying To Hang On For Dear Life

A bear in California was crossing the road when oncoming traffic spooked it making it climb over the guardrail.

The bear somehow grabbed on to the support beams underneath leaving it trapped 100 feet in the air. Afraid it would fall, Truckee animal control officer Robert Brooks and partners decided to help.

Scared and hanging on for its life, the bear was able to find a spot on the support beam.

But the bear kept moving to the side of the arch hoping to be able to climb down.

Local animal control traveled to Nevada to find a net big enough to hold the bear.

They rigged the net with ropes and pulleys with the help of some volunteers.

Their only choice now was to shoot the bear with a tranquilizer dart. Once it had taken effect, one of the animal control officers lowered down in a harness.

The officer moved the bear into the net. It was then lowered safely to the ground.

The bear was put in the shade where it woke up and quickly ran off.

What an amazing ending for a situation that could’ve ended very badly. Thanks to all who helped make this rescue possible!
