Blind & Deaf Dog Can Sense When Her Dad Is Home — It’s So Adorable, Your Heart Might Burst

Opal’s blindness has never stopped her from experiencing the beauties of life, although she does it differently than most other dogs.

She is surrounded by people who adore her, and she is always eager to meet her daddy when he comes back from work. The way she expresses the joy of him being home is beyond adorable. Opal’s mommy Bray says, “She waits in the front yard and waits to either feel or smell his car. [I don’t know] how she can tell the difference, because neighbor cars pull up and she doesn’t care. She then smells him and goes crazy. It’s very sweet!”

As a result of her inability to see and hear, her other senses are heightened and her heart is clearly elated by the people she loves most …

… and it’s fair to say the feeling is mutual.

Opal, the 8-month-old dog spends her days in the home of Christina Bray and her husband who adopted this merle-coated dog after they found her through a rescue group whose goal is finding homes for special needs dogs.

Adopting a dog like Opal is not easy because it’s quite challenging to take care of someone who is both blind and deaf, but she is one special dog with the most vibrant personality.

The video of beautiful Opal waiting for her dad to get home was shared online by her parents who wanted people to see her loving spirit. She is the most joyous little furry pal this couple could ask for.
