They say a dog is a man’s best friend, and one pup named Boncuk has proven just what a great friend she is.
When her owner, Cemal Senturk, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in the Black Sea city of Trabzon, Turkey, Boncuk chased the ambulance and waited outside of the hospital for her beloved human.
Senturk’s daughter, Aynur Egeli, would bring Boncuk home with her every night, but that didn’t stop her from returning to the hospital.
Every day at nine in the morning, Boncuk would run off and go back to the hospital, where she would sit outside the door until it grew dark out.
Hospital security guard Muhammet Akdeniz told DHA that he would see Boncuk show up at the hospital daily and poke her head inside whenever the door opens, but she would never go in. She patiently waited there for days for her owner to be released.
Boncuk was finally able to see her human after Senturk was wheeled outside for a quick meeting. Thankfully, later that day, Senturk was discharged from the hospital and able to go home with his fluffy best friend.
It’s clear that these two share a very special bond!
