Breeder Asks Vet To Euthanize Puppy – Vet Tech Steps In To Save Him

Nico the four-week-old German Shepherd puppy was about to be euthanized, but fate had other plans in store. The sweet puppy was not walking correctly, so his breeder took him to the veterinarian. Sadly, the breeder left the poor pup behind and wanted him put down.

When vet tech Mikayla Silkman came to work that day and saw the innocent pup in the cage, she was stunned.

In an interview with The Dodo, Silkman stated, “He just sat in his cage and cried, and it broke my heart.”

The determined vet tech called her friend,Trisha Malfitano, who founded the rescue group, Perfect Imperfections. Although she was out of town at the time, the kind woman agreed to help.

Meanwhile, an examination showed that Nico had some skeletal abnormalities. The little doggo looked just like a teddy bear, and he soon went home with Malfitano. She would help the pup but wanted him to have a forever home so she could take in more dogs in need.

A nice lady named April Addison wanted to adopt Nico, and she even flew from her home in Arizona to get Nico in Connecticut. That’s what we call true puppy love!
