Brown Patches in the Yard Reveal Much More if You Take the Time to Look

Keeping up with yard work can be a daunting task, but it could also be deadly if you aren’t paying attention…deadly for some little critters who may be calling your yard home without you realizing it. As you’ll see in this video, you may want to do a walk-through of things before you start up your lawnmower the next time.

A representative with the Ontario Wildlife Removal says little brown patches in your yard can reveal something incredibly special. Ideally, you’ll leave it alone. As he explains, those little spots of dead grass actually serve as nests that double as hiding spaces for baby rabbits. The mother rabbit will only return once or twice a day, so you won’t have a clue there’s a family under the brown patch unless you stop to inspect it, unless that patch is somehow moving.

Don’t laugh. It happened. That’s what prompted the homeowner in this video to call in the wildlife removal folks. Luckily for us, and who knows how many rabbits, he explains what we need to know about those brown patches that may be full of life.
