Couple Adopts Dying Dog To Make Rest Of His Life The Best Of His Life

Marley the dog has a limited amount of time to live. The sweet almost 14-year-old dog was diagnosed recently with cutaneous lymphoma, a fatal disease.

With less than six months to live, Jordan Chapman and her wife, Jen, decided to adopt Marley from the shelter and make his remaining months his best months ever.

The first thing the couple did was to set up a bucket list of things to do with Marley. They decided to put things on it they would want to do if they were dogs.

Chapman works as a shelter director and her wife is a massage therapist working with end of life care, so this adoption touched their hearts deeply.

“We know what we are getting into more than most people,” Jordan shared.

Marley has a growing Instagram account, where an image of his bucket list was shared. On it are things like get a cupcake from Sprinkles Cupcake, meet someone famous, try a chicken nugget, and get adopted. With each task fulfilled, the couple puts a checkmark by that item on the list.
