Man Breaks Puppy’s Legs And Gives Her A Bloody Nose As Part Of “Leash-Training”

Cops in Altoona, Pennsylvania, responded to an animal cruelty call in a neighborhood, after some residents reported seeing a man abusing his 12-week-old puppy.

Witnesses reportedly saw the man, 41-year-old Clifford Jones, aggressively using a leash to drag his puppy and lift her off the ground.

But as the case unraveled, the cops were appalled to discover far more horrifying details suggesting the absolute brutality endured by the defenseless puppy.

Once the cops arrived at Clifford’s home, they immediately noticed his puppy’s pronounced limp, bloodshot eyes and bleeding nose.

The man claimed that he was simply attempting to “leash-train” the pup, but the cops managed to rescue her.

The traumatized puppy was situated with the Blair County Humane Society, where a vet examination indicated tell-tale signs of repeated physical abuse.

An X-ray revealed that the puppy’s right front leg was broken in 2 places, while her twisted left front leg was healing from another older fracture.

She had severe lacerations on her paw pads, stomach, head and face. Her gums and mouth were also punctured in several places.

Her mouth injuries were allegedly caused by Clifford clamping her mouth with his fist and rotating it, causing the puppy to be wounded by her own teeth.

Clifford was recently arraigned on charges of felony aggravated cruelty to animals and misdemeanor cruelty to animals.

His unsecured bail has been set at $25,000, and he will face his preliminary hearing early next year.

The puppy will remain under the care of the Blair County Humane Society as she has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
