For many dogs, strangers approaching a home can be the cause of barking fits, anxiety, and general chaos. But for a unique pup in England, when city workers come by…it’s his absolute favorite time of the week!
A 2-year-old Dalmatian named Dakota and his owner, Ciara, live in East Sussex. Every single week, they both get to enjoy a very special day together: trash day!

Instead of the day being a burden or annoyance, the whole family looks forward to it.
Every Friday, Dakota runs out into the alley, tail wagging, and waits for his favorite people to swing by. It’s difficult for him to contain his excitement — his whole body wiggles as he wags his tail in anticipation!
Thankfully, his owner always has her cell phone handy so she can record his reaction.

It’s amazing how how bonded Dakota is with the trash men; he is so excited to say hello to them every single week. And, of course, the city workers happily stop to give him lots of love!
Friday just might be their favorite day of the week, too, because of Dakota. Who could resist this smiling, happy face on their trash route?
