After a horrible accident, this stray little puppy used all the strength he had left to crawl away from traffic.
A puppy this small hardly ever survives being hit by a car but he was determined to live and the people who found him were determined to help.

They got him to the vet immediately where it was determined that one front leg was badly broken. He’d need surgery.
The puppy was also malnourished, dehydrated and anemic. They operated on the puppy once they gave him IV fluids.

It took a while before the little pup was comfortable enough to eat and drink on his own. But he was certainly determined to live. What a little warrior!

Once he’s well enough to be let out of a crate and walk a bit, his rescuers realize he’s very timid. He’s likely never been close to humans before and has no idea how to behave.
He’s probably been through so much. Sadly, many humans think strays are pests and aren’t very nice to them. But thankfully that is all in his past now.

Day by day, the puppy, now named Baby, makes tremendous strides. He even allows his new human friends to pet him.
