A family from Leominster, Massachusetts, is feeling wronged after their 9-year-old boy named Hunter was denied from taking pictures with Santa at a local mall due to his service dog.
Hunter suffers from a rare form of epilepsy and his medical support dog, Angel, senses his seizures and keeps him safe when he’s about to collapse.

Sarah Specht, Hunter’s mom, says that a mall employee rudely turned away her boy after he waited for 2 hours in line to greet Santa.
This is Hunter’s first Christmas with Angel, and Sarah hoped that he would finally be able to enjoy the holidays like his peers. But even with a medical assistance dog, Hunter feels deprived and cornered.
The mall had hired “Cherry Hill Programs” for their annual “Santa Experience”, which has clear protocols to allow service dogs.
Let’s raise our voices against this blatant discrimination by the mall against a sick child and make it known that such poor ethics will not be tolerated. Spread the word!

Update: The local authorities heard about Hunter’s plight and heavily condemned the discrimination faced by him. In a heartwarming gesture, the cops and firefighters of neighboring towns came together to escort Santa back into the town just for Hunter!

Hunter was overjoyed to find Santa right in front of his house for a Christmas surprise. He wiped his tears and ran to greet him with Angel by his side!

Meanwhile, the mall has apologized for its mistake and suspended the concerned employee until further investigation. We are glad that the authorities stepped up and took care of this unfair situation.
