Service Dog Led Owner Into Woods, Revealed Cardboard Box Filled With Kittens

Banner, a three-year-old Siberian Husky is a medical/psychiatric service dog for her mom, Whitney Braley. Braley suffers from PTSD and often has anxiety attacks. Banner is always right by her side to help calm her down.

She also detects migraines, low and high blood pressure, slows down Braley’s heart-beat, and removes her from crowds, among many other things.

Banner is extremely loyal and loves to help all creatures, not just humans. When Banner knew animals were in need of help, she led Braley toward them into the woods.

Confused, Braley watched Banner circle around a cardboard box that was left in the middle of the woods. Braley gently opened the box and Banner immediately put her head in it and lifted something out.

In Banner’s mouth was a kitten! The kitten had been stuffed into the box with six of his siblings.

It’s unknown exactly how they wound up there, but Braley suspects that someone closed them in the box and left them there to die, thinking no one would ever find them.

The kittens weren’t making any sounds, so Braley feared they were dead; but thankfully, aside from being freezing, they were all alive.

“I don’t even know how Banner knew they were in there,” Braley told Good Times. “The kittens were freezing and weren’t meowing or anything. She just knew somehow. She is a true hero. If she didn’t find the kittens, they would have all died.”

Braley brought the kittens home to feed and care for them to make sure they grew up big and strong. But not without the help from Banner. Banner was so gentle with the kittens and began acting like she was their mom.

She constantly watched them and even cuddled and took naps with them.

Thanks to Banner’s quick-thinking and motherly instincts, these kittens were able to have a new lease on life and eventually all went to their forever homes!
