He Adopted A Puppy Just So He Could Shoot Him And Slam Him Against Walls

Puppies deserve to be nurtured and loved. But the puppy in this story was shown the exact opposite. In his first few months of life, Indy had already experienced horrific abuse.

This poor baby was shot in the head with a nail gun. He was also starved and slammed into a wall. His pain must’ve been unimaginable but his fear was likely more overwhelming.

Why would anyone want to harm a precious baby?

By the time rescuers found Indy, he had a traumatic brain injury. This injury greatly affected his balance. It’s so sad to watch him try to move about and fall, over and over again.

Walking was nearly impossible. But rescuers were confident that with rehabilitation, he could improve. And he was totally worth the effort.

Indy’s rescuers built special walkways that would help Indy’s wobbling. He wasn’t so sure at first but with his human friends cheering him on, he worked hard to get through the challenge.

Indy also participated in aqua therapy. Kicking those legs in the water strengthens muscles and helps Indy control his body. He LOVED every minute of it.

Indy practices going up and down the stairs. His balance is so much better. He’s now ready for his foster home!

At his foster home, he learns what being a real pet is like. He gets lots of love and attention. He loves to go on walks and learn all about being outside. He still wobbles but compared to how he was in the beginning, he’s making tremendous strides!

Just a few months later, Indy is a total success. He still stumbles around a bit but he can walk and play. He can sit down and not fall over. And he’s a very happy boy!

See Indy’s rescue and transformation story in the video below. And please remember, animals with special needs deserve love too!

They are sadly the hardest to place in fosters and the hardest to find homes for. Would you consider opening your heart to a dog like Andy?
