Kids and pets often build strong bonds as they shower each other with unconditional love and loyalty. Sometimes, such bonds can develop between the most unlikely souls – ones living on land and one in water!

Joel is a boy who lives in a fishing-based village called Valle Gran Ray in the Canary Islands. The fishermen-folk there would throw their excess catch back into the sea to attract other sea-life. Joel had a habit of feeding this excess to his favorite sea-buddy – a giant stingray.
In the video we see Joel and his friend at the sea-shore steps. Joel dips his hand in the water and in an instant we see the stingray emerge from the depths. Joel lovingly pets him and feeds him shrimp. The stingray eats to his heart’s content and gets another pet from Joel before swimming back into the sea.

This videos breaks all notions about stingrays being evil, poisonous creatures. They are barely aggressive and only attack when they sense danger. It’s amazing to see how well they respond to the love shown by a little boy!
