Little Dog Blows Crowd Away At Westminster With Record Speed In Agility

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no wait, it’s Gabby the Papillon breezing by at the speed of light (or pretty darned close t0 it). The little dog with the mighty speed blew the crowd away at the Westminister 2019 Masters Agility Championship.

At three years old, Gabby competed in the smallest division within the competition at eight inches. She ran the course in record speed, 39.31 seconds.

Agility is a fun dog sport that involves 14 to 20 obstacles. Dogs compete in a variety of classes and heights, with the fastest dog with the least amount of ‘faults’ winning each category.

Her handler, Andrea Samuels, does an amazing job maneuvering Gabby through the challenge, but the dog does it like the pro she is.

Ultimately, Gabby’s speed came close but not first place. A Border Collie named Verb took top honors with a 32.05-second run in the competition’s final round.
