Some start-up companies have been known to offer faithful pet owners a bring-your-pet-to-work day every once in a while as a lifestyle perk, but there’s a Lowe’s in Abilene, Texas that is doing one better—and the internet couldn’t be more excited about it.

Clay Luthy is a disabled veteran once desperate to find work. He wanted to stay busy, and he wanted to contribute.

But his service dog, Charlotte the 10-year-old Golden Retriever, is his necessary and constant companion. Wherever he goes, she goes.
