Man Rescues Puppy From Drowning In Backyard Pool

This is the heart-stopping moment a dog owner jumps into a backyard pool to rescue his puppy.

In the footage, Bernard Williams is on his daily jog round his pool at home in Bakersfield, California.

Joined by his beloved French bulldogs Lola and Adela, Bernard turns around to see one of his pets has slipped and fallen into the hot tub.

CCTV footage captures the moment six-month-old Adela loses her footing and topples into the hot tub.

As she struggles to stay afloat and sinks, her owner makes a quick u-turn and rushes straight into the water to lift her to safer ground.

He then rubs her down and makes sure she is safe before lifting himself out of the water.

Safe and a little wet Adela shakes herself off from her fall before continuing to run around the backyard again with Lola.

This video teaches all pet owners several things. First, the French Bulldog, which is what this man has, isn’t a good swimmer. Second, if dogs are left outside alone where there’s a pool, it’d be a good idea to have some kind of safety feature in place. Third, if you don’t know doggie CPR, this would be a great time to learn.
