Meet The Cutest Dropout Of The CIA – And Everyone Loves Her!

This puppy is greatly amusing.

Did you ever happen to take interest in something, only to lose it in a short period of time? Well, ask Lulu, a young black Labrador puppy who was part of CIA’s Fall 2017 “Puppy Class”. At first, the pup began losing interest when it came to detecting explosive odors – but it didn’t stop there.

Lulu chosen out of 6 female canine candidates for the K9 training class back in August. She was only a year and a half years’ old when she joined, and Lulu loved to sniff out explosives. She was a natural at it.

Six weeks later, Luly underwent several training sessions which included imprint training, sniffing upon command and detecting more than 20,000 different explosive concoctions. After completing her training, she was assigned to a handler from the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia, to undergo yet another ten weeks’ worth of advanced training as a team.

As would have turned out, she wasn’t suitable to be a ‘bomb dog’.

However, as the training progressed, Lulu the Labrador was no longer motivated to find explosives, even with doggy treats. And she didn’t stop there – she was clearly bored. After trying many times, her trainers realized that Lulu was no longer enjoying herself – permanently. Lulu was no longer suitable as part of a K9 unit, but more as a loving family member instead. Hence, they decided to announce the news on Twitter.

The CIA’s series of tweets spawning from October 18 has sparked a social media frenzy – with various memes created inspired by the new canine social media star, Lulu!

Thankfully, all that training wasn’t for naught as Lulu had bonded with her handler, who welcomed her as part of the family. Lulu now happily resides as a house dog, along with a new brother named Harry, who was also a black Labrador Retriever.

She now enjoys her days playing, napping and causing mischief like any other happy canine would at home. Looks like Lulu is best suitable for one simple task – serving as man’s best friend within her new home!
