With people losing their jobs and then their homes, many pet owners are forced to live on the streets. They can hardly find medical care for themselves.
Finding adequate care for their pets is nearly impossible. That’s why we are focusing this story on a veterinary hero who uses his free time to help those less fortunate.

Dr. Kwane Stewart may not wear a cape but he’s a superhero indeed! He started his career as a vet for a local shelter.
He saw how many people were forced to give up their pets because they couldn’t afford to keep up with their medical care.
He wondered if there were people out there that refused to leave their pets behind but were still in desperate need of help.

Dr. Stewart began his mission by setting up a makeshift medical table outside a soup kitchen. Pet owners living on the streets or in shelters flocked to see him. They wanted their pets cared for more than they wanted to eat.
The kindhearted Dr. Stewart realized that these were good people; they just fell on hard times. He now goes to the streets or to homeless camps to treat dogs and cats that need his help. He never judges. He just wants what is best for the animals.

The best part is he wants nothing in return. Seeing how much these pets are loved is enough for him! Just because someone is living on the streets, doesn’t mean they don’t love their animals.
In fact, having their companionship gives their owner a sense of security and purpose. In most circumstances, Dr. Stewart sees that the pets are in way better shape than their owners. They’re loved and that’s what matters most.
