Wild Orangutan Reaches Out To Help Man Who’s Surrounded By Snakes

Anil Prabhakar was on safari in Borneo with some friends when he came across an act of kindness in the wild.

In the conservation forest, he got to witness an orangutan reaching out and extending his hand to a man who was surrounded by snakes while standing waist-deep in the water.

The man was actually a warden for an organization called the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, and he was in the water helping to clear away snakes in the area to protect the wild orangutans.

And this particular primate thought the man was in danger and needed a hand.

Anil watched as the unusual scenario played out, and the man ended up refusing the orangutan’s hand. As the warden stepped aside, Anil asked him why.

The warden said since it’s a wild animal they’re not familiar with, he couldn’t risk it. But he continued on doing his job to protect the local orangutans.

This just shows how intelligent and compassionate animals can actually be! 🙂
