Boy Came Upon Tiny Kitten Not Moving On Garbage Can And Wrote Urgent Text

A boy received a text and a photo from a friend of his after he found a tiny kitten all alone in a garbage can. The kitten was so young that his eyes weren’t even opened yet.

The friend pleaded for help from the boy and his family. Once the boy’s dad saw the photo, he knew he had to step in.

It didn’t take much time until the kitten was being bottle-fed on their kitchen countertop. This was an animal-loving family for sure!

The little kitten was starving and his new dad worked so hard for him to accept a bottle. If the kitten didn’t drink the formula, he would surely die.

The family had done this sort of thing before. They called the vet and told him about the kitten and the vet said, plain and simple, “This cat won’t live.” It was like a punch to the gut.

The vet repeatedly said that the kitten was way too young and needed his mother but the dad persisted. They wanted to do all they could to try to save his life.

The dad’s goal was to get the kitten through the night despite what the vet said. In the morning, everyone was ecstatic to see that the kitten had made it!

Now it was time to bring him to an animal sanctuary to see if they could help him. They agreed to take him in.

Their biggest challenge was keeping his body temperature up. He was eating okay but at such a young age, staying warm is just as important as nourishment.

The volunteers at St. Bonnie’s sanctuary worked very hard to make sure he was looked after around the clock.

The dad and his family checked on the kitten daily and received updates via texts and photos. They were so happy to know that this kitten was a little warrior!

The best news came a couple of weeks later. The volunteers at St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary called the family and said if they wanted to take the kitten home, they could pick him up that day.

The family raced over! They were so delighted to see that the little guy had grown so much. They officially adopted the kitten and named him Oscar, because just like the Sesame Street character, he was living inside a garbage can.

Oscar took to his new home very well. Too well, in fact. He had so much spunk in him that their current pets weren’t too sure what to think.

You have to see what happens next with this little guy (and see his amazing transformation). How Oscar settles in and seeks comfort from his new dad is the cutest thing!
