Puppy watching ‘The Lion King’ starts crying with Simba when Mufasa passes away

Dogs make our lives full since that special moment they become residents of our home and our heart. Many people find it amusing how these lovely creatures always know when their owners, as well as those around them, feel down and do their best to change that.

Dogs have feelings and the way they express them at times is just awesome. If you own one you know how they would always do their best to cheer you up by treating you with a bunch of wet “kisses,” some licks, and a lot of tail wagging.

This particular dog named Luna, however, expressed her feelings by shedding some tears after watching the heartbreaking scene of Mufasa from “The Lion King” dying.

“Anything you feel, I can feel too,” Josh Myers, Luna’s owner, wrote on Facebook on Feb. 19. “So Hannah and I were watching the Lion King while Luna played wildly with her toys.”

“But right as Mufasa falls to his death, she stops and turns to the TV to watch. To see her crying at the TV was the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen.

“She even lays down right after Simba lays with his dad….We don’t deserve dogs. 💚 4 months old and she’s already showing empathy.”

The story of how Luna became part of her human’s family life is sort of amazing. Namely, a woman named Blake Blamalam was involved in the rescue of a pregnant pit bull she later named Melon. She really couldn’t just leave the mother-to-be on the street so she decided to take her in. Shortly after the rescue, Melon gave birth to a litter of 12 puppies. Blake shared this story on Facebook, saying:

“I’m so impressed with this little mama. She couldn’t be sweeter and her babies are the cutest!”

I’m so impressed with this little mama. She couldn’t be sweeter and her babies are the cutest! She is so tired but still…

“She is so tired but still so nurturing. Didn’t expect to be fostering a dog that would give birth to 12 puppies in my home but I’m happy to have given her a place she felt safe enough to do so. You can bet I’ll be spoiling this little family while looking for loving homes for them. Mission Fort Tiny Fluffs will be initiated soon.”

After the sweet puppies started weaning and were ready for adoption, Josh Myers and Hannah Huddleston stumbled upon the Facebook post and decided to step in and try to find the sweeties owners. However, one of them, Luna, caught their attention and they decided to adopt her themselves.

After Blake saw the video of Luna crying over a movie she took the time to comment how she was taking care of Luna’s mother who was a sensitive soul herself.

“Oh my!” she commented. “Well I did say that her pups were famous ❤️ her mom also responds to the TV, I swear these babies are all going to be rock-stars.”

“All thanks to you!” Huddleston replied. “We wouldn’t have Luna if you decided to not bring Melon home. We weren’t actively looking for a pup, just stumbled upon a post that Liza Greever shared. 💗”

“Luna says thank you for all the love and support!!” Myers updated fans in a comment on the original video. “She got tons of hugs and kisses after this scene and is much more emotionally stable now hahah. But all this sudden fame has her exhausted 😊”
