Duke is an ordinary looking dog, but what he did is nothing less than extraordinary! This rescue dog is being called a hero after saving the life of a Portland, Conn., family’s infant daughter.
The Brousseau family had already gone to bed when Duke, who was adopted nearly six years ago, jumped on their bed and began shaking uncontrollably. Duke’s behavior immediately woke the couple up, and the rest is history, in the best way possible.
Mom and dad knew something had to be wrong, so they went to check on their 9-week-old daughter Harper. She wasn’t breathing. The family called 911, and baby Harper was then revived by paramedics, and taken to the hospital. She is ok, all thanks to their amazing rescue dog.
