Military Dog Is Torn Away From Beloved Sergeant, Two Years Later She Hears Him Screaming Her Name

It's said that a dog is a man's best friend — but it seems safe to say that the bond between CiCi and Army Sergeant Jason Bos is perhaps a bit more special than most.

Sergeant Jason Bos and his K-9 partner CiCi spent five years side-by-side in Iraq. They were together through 100 missions which included working with the secret service and detecting roadside bombs.

But when the sergeant retired in 2012 due to a back injury, he headed back to the United States… without CiCi, a beautiful chocolate Labrador.

Depressed and heartbroken, Sgt. Bos wasn’t sure if he’d ever be reunited with his best friend ever again.

Two years passed, and not a day went by that Sgt. Bos didn’t think about his CiCi. However, fate intervened when Bos learned that CiCi was about to retire from her service, too.

With the help of the American Humane Association and Mission K-9 Rescue, CiCi was flown all the way from Germany to Chicago to reunite with Sgt. Bos at O’Hare International Airport. The second CiCi hears Sgt. Bos’ voice, she knows it’s him.
