Life on the streets of Los Angeles isn’t a place we would wish on our worst enemies, but for one dog this was his reality for 11 years.
His entire life was spent living outdoors. He had become pretty used to life on the streets but when he became sick he couldn’t survive life on the street. That’s when he looked for help and perched himself on a strangers front porch and settled in for a nap.
When the woman living at the house didn’t send him away, instead she took him in an even gave him a name, Solovino which means “he came alone” in Spanish. The woman contacted San Francisco’s Rocket Dog Rescue for further assistance in finding him a home.
A woman named Carol came across the story of Solovino and immediately fell in love with him. Since she is a huge Star Wars fan, she decided that she would refer to him as Solo.
Carol has been so moved by this experience that she has vowed to adopt other senior dogs and provide them with the comfort they deserve.
Thanks to her efforts this dog went from spending life on the streets to spending the rest of his days filled with love.
