Single Mom Of 2 Believes Family Dog Caught Her Breast Cancer Before Doctors

Tara had just turned 40 when she decided to pursue her dream and enroll in a vet tech program. The single mother of two put off her mammogram off until she was finished with school in March of 2012.

One night while studying, Tara’s Golden Retriever/St. Bernard mix named Willow jumped on her bed, put her nose to Tara’s left side and refused to get down from the bed.

No matter how many times she tried to shoo Willow off, the persistent dog jumped right back up. Being a vet tech, Tara noticed this type of needy behavior was strange for her typically calm, well-mannered pup.

One last time, Willow rubbed her wet nose against Tara’s side, which caused Tara try and rub the wet spot off her shirt — and that’s when her life forever changed.

Tara felt a lump. What came next is either an incredible canine intervention or random coincidence — but either way, every woman should hear Tara’s powerful message.
