Dog Hides In Pain Under Steps From Tormentors Who Stabbed Him Over And Over

A dog in the Baltimore, Maryland area is lucky to be alive today. Authorities at the BARCS Animal Shelter say a dog named Snoopy was found laying under a set of stone steps.

On closer inspection, officers saw the dog had large gaping wounds and a large infected hole in his chest.

Thankfully, the officers took poor Snoopy for medical attention. The wounds were deemed to be consistent with a stabbing or another form of impalement.

Amazingly, the wounds missed all of Snoopy’s major blood vessels.

Unfortunately, Snoopy was found to have a stab wound that tore his pectoral muscle which nearly detached his leg from his body.

The folks at BARCS provided a Facebook update on the dog, stating, “He had surgery with initial stitches and drains placed. He is also on several medications to fight the infection and keep him comfortable. Snoopy is on strict crate rest for the next 4-6 weeks to give his affected muscle time to heal. Over the next few weeks, we will learn what additional medical attention he will need.”

Although they may never know who did this to Snoopy, BARCS is grateful someone saw the dog under the steps and called for help.

We wish you a speedy recovery and loving home in the future, Snoopy! More about the story can be seen in the news video below.
