Petrified Pooch Lives 3 Days In A Storm Drain As Firefighters Rush To Get Her Out

For three long days, a 2-year-old dog waited patiently for someone to rescue her. The dog, named Sophie, went missing 30 days earlier from her family’s home in Santa Barbara, California.

No one knows where Sophie went during her month away from home, but for at least three days she lived in a drain pipe.

The pipe itself was about 18-inches long, but there was no way poor Sophie could jump out to safety. Fortunately, firefighters were summoned to the scene to try and rescue the pint-sized pooch.

A hose was used to lure Sophie towards one end of the storm pipe where a firefighter waited to bring her up to safety.

Thankfully, Sophie was able to be coaxed out as the fireman grabbed her and lifted her up and out of the pipe.

The entire amazing rescue was photographed and the fire department placed the images on Twitter.
