Dog Is Nervous Before Surgery, So Vet Sings Her A Song To Help Ease Her Anxiety

Just like humans, animals can feel anxiety and become nervous while awaiting a procedure at the hospital too.

Ruby the Golden Retriever was uneasy before her surgery at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, but Dr. Ross knew exactly what to do to help.

He whipped out his guitar and sat on the floor with Ruby in his lap and began singing Elvis’ ‘Cant Help Falling In Love.’

Ruby quickly relaxed and started to doze off to dreamland. The soothing sound of Dr. Ross’ singing helped Ruby calm down and forget about her worries and anxieties of the surgery.

Fox Hollow posted the video of the adorable music session on their Facebook page with the caption: “Sometimes your patient just needs you to go the extra mile to make them feel comfortable when they’re here for the day to have surgery. Dr. Ross has mastered the technique and sweet Ruby was so thankful for that.”

I think after watching this video, it’s safe to say that we hope all our vets are as sweet as Dr. Ross!
