Man Thinks He Can Sexually Assault His Dog And Get Away With It Until Police Show Up

Investigators from the Lincoln Police Department and the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) report a very disturbing case of animal abuse. Official charges of abominable and detestable crime against nature and unnecessary cruelty to animals were issued to 38-year-old Michael L. Woodhead of Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Police say Woodhead sexually abused a female dog he owned. Authorities received a tip to the man’s home in February and came armed with a search warrant and humane officers to investigate.

According to media, based on disturbing observations, the female dog was removed from the home for evaluation and evidenced was collected.

The suspect’s attorney told The Providence Journal his client denies the charges and there is “another side to this story.”

During the months-long investigation, the Rhode Island Department of Health analyzed evidence in the case, per the RISPCA.

According to a Facebook update by RISPCS, the dog is doing very well and has been placed with a foster family.

Woodhead faces misdemeanor counts of unnecessary cruelty to animals and care of dogs in addition to his felony charges. Whoever does this sort of horrific act to an innocent animal deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
