Out of all the possible animals you can keep as pets, dogs are perhaps the only ones you can train well. They’re intelligent enough to understand the limits of what’s acceptable and too devoted to break the rules.
Looking at the following selection of dogs, we came to the conclusion that their owners simply didn’t express clearly enough what those rules were.
She knows she’s not allowed in my room but thinks that if she doesn’t catch my eye I won’t remove her.
Does it count if I crawl into the room rather than walk in?
He’s not allowed to lie on the couch, so he does this.
He’s not allowed to put his paws on the table when he wants to play. He’s an obedient dog.
Sitting on the couch is forbidden, but they never said anything about the armrests.
