Apple seeds and apple pits both contain traces of cyanide, which is toxic and harmful to both people and dogs. The apples themselves can be used as a tasty and healthy treat for your dog.
However, if you want to let your dog munch on some slices of apple, make sure you completely remove the slices away from the stem, seeds and core, the way you might do for a young child.
