Sleepy Dog Turns Daycare Pals Into Pillows — And No One Minds

Some dogs go to daycare to run, wrestle, or chase balls all day. But Linkin, a lovable Rhodesian ridgeback, has a different priority: finding the perfect snuggle buddy for a good nap.

At Urban Canine in Winnipeg, Manitoba, while other dogs zoom around the yard, Linkin takes a more laid-back approach. The moment he arrives, he scans the room — not for toys or games, but for the nearest dog (or human) who looks like a comfy place to rest his head.

And once he’s chosen his “pillow,” it’s nap time.

Linkin often curls up next to his sister, Luna, using her shoulder, neck, or back as a headrest. Sometimes he even perches right on top of her — and she doesn’t seem to mind.

But Linkin’s love of lounging doesn’t stop with family. He’s known to cuddle up with just about anyone at daycare.

“[He’s] the king of cuddles,” Urban Canine wrote on TikTok, where Linkin’s cozy habits have captured hearts.

Despite his large size and the fact that his breed was originally meant for lion hunting, Linkin is nothing but gentle. As soon as he finds a willing friend, he burrows his head into their fur and peacefully drifts off, the picture of pure contentment.

“Lion hunter defines his breed,” the staff said, “but he’s definitely a lamb at heart.”
