At a Bangkok police station, officers thought they'd seen it all — until a sassy feline suspect showed up wearing a pink collar, zero patience, and a serious attitude.
On May 9, 2025, officers at Khlong Tan Police Station found themselves in an unexpected showdown with a stray American Shorthair. Brought in by a good Samaritan after being spotted wandering the streets, the little cat, later nicknamed Nub Tang (“counting money” in Thai), was clearly not thrilled about her sudden detainment.
Despite being offered food, warmth, and comfort, Nub Tang responded not with gratitude, but with fury — unleashing a flurry of bites and scratches on the officers attempting to help.
“She assaulted several officers,” joked Officer Da Parinda Pakeesuk, who turned the chaotic moment into comedy gold online.
In a now-viral Facebook post, Pakeesuk announced:
“This cat has been charged with assaulting officers and is being held in custody. Please share so her owner can come post bail!”
Accompanying the message? An outrageously funny mugshot of Nub Tang — furrowed brow, ears back, and looking entirely unimpressed. Social media exploded.

Fans quickly dubbed her everything from Meowlin Rouge to The Claw-enforcer, sharing memes, faux wanted posters, and endless jokes about Bangkok’s newest “criminal.”
While the internet laughed, Nub Tang lounged — later photographed sprawled out in the officer’s car next to her “paw print records.”
“She’s living her best life,” Pakeesuk joked. “We’re the real victims here.”
Despite adoption offers pouring in, Pakeesuk made it clear that their priority was reuniting the feisty feline with her rightful owner. Soon, Nub Tang’s human came forward, both amused and mildly exasperated by her cat’s unexpected fame.
“The mother is stressed,” her owner posted, “because her child became famous for beating up the police!”
To wrap up the saga, Pakeesuk shared mock booking details, complete with fake charges, fingerprinting, and even a pretend drug test:
“No catnip detected. Released on bail. Court date pending at the World Cat Court.”
And in a fictional “statement” from Nub Tang herself:
“I was just hungry. I didn’t mean to bite anyone.”
When handing her back to her owner, he added a humorous warning: “This case must be handled properly. We cannot have other cats thinking that biting people is acceptable.”

But behind the humor was something sweeter. Officer Pakeesuk, who rescues and cares for dozens of stray animals, took the opportunity to urge others to adopt.
“I have over 20 stray cats and several dogs waiting for homes,” he wrote. “They may not look fancy, but they are full of love.”
What started as a hilarious viral moment ended as a reminder of the everyday kindness of people who look out for animals in need — and one tiny troublemaker who clawed her way into hearts around the world.
