When Montreal tattoo artist Lizzy del BOSQUE welcomed a new client into her studio, she expected a typical session — a floral design, a phrase, maybe an animal portrait.
But when the woman revealed the sketch she wanted permanently inked on her skin, del BOSQUE paused.
“I was concerned,” she admitted. “I didn’t even understand what the tattoo was supposed to be.”

The design looked unusual, almost abstract. Then the client pulled out her reference photo — and everything clicked.
The shapes weren’t random at all. They were her bulldog’s teeth.
“She explained it to me, and it made so much sense,” del BOSQUE said. “She wanted something completely original to remind her of her dog. And honestly — it’s not very common to tattoo your dog’s teeth!”

Once the tattoo was finished, del BOSQUE shared a side-by-side photo of the design and the bulldog’s toothy grin. The internet couldn’t get enough.
“I started getting hundreds and hundreds of comments telling me how cute this was,” she said.
What began as a confusing request turned out to be one of the sweetest tributes — a reminder that love for our pets can be expressed in the most creative ways.
At first glance, it may look puzzling, but to one woman, it’s the perfect symbol of her bond with her best friend. And that makes it priceless.
