Woman Screams When She Spots Tiny Eyes Peeking Out From Her Bathroom Sink

About a month and a half ago, Florida couple Brian and Cathy had a surprise guest move into their home — one who chose an especially odd place to stay.

It all started on an ordinary day when Cathy leaned over the bathroom sink — and suddenly screamed.

There, staring back at her from the sink’s overflow hole, were two tiny eyes.

“I thought I was seeing things at first,” Brian told The Dodo. “Then my wife screamed again when the little head moved!”

Somehow, a small frog had made his way through the home’s outdoor plumbing and found his way into the overflow drain — where he decided to set up camp.

“We think he came in through a toilet vent on our roof,” Brian explained. “That kind of thing is actually not unusual here in Florida.”

The couple soon realized that their new visitor wasn’t stuck at all. He was quite content — coming and going as he pleased — and had clearly claimed the sink as his personal hideaway.

They affectionately named him Sinkfrog.

Brian and Cathy shared photos of their unexpected roommate online, and soon, Sinkfrog’s quirky story went viral. But despite his fame, he refused to move out.

“We needed to clear the sink because our adult son was coming to visit,” Brian said. “But my wife’s an animal lover and didn’t want to hurt Sinkfrog.”

After six weeks of patient waiting, Sinkfrog finally decided to step out into the open.

That’s when Brian and Cathy got their first real look at him — and discovered he was a Cuban tree frog, an invasive species in Florida.

That meant they couldn’t safely release him back into the wild.

“We had to either euthanize or keep him,” Brian said. “And of course, we decided to keep him.”

The couple bought a roomy terrarium and made Sinkfrog a permanent part of the family.

“Once we freed him, we started interacting with him more,” Brian said. “Now he’s thriving — and we’ve really bonded with him.”

Still, old habits die hard.

“I can’t help checking that sink every time I walk in,” Brian laughed. “I half expect to see that little head poking out again. Then I remember — Sinkfrog’s living large in his new home.”
