Say hello to Chevy, a 9-year-old Pomeranian from Kettering, Ohio, whose grin is basically legendary. This little pup doesn’t just smile—he beams like he’s got a thousand watts of pure joy.

“We’ve never seen him have a bad day. It just cracks us up,” says Chevy’s mom, Tina Marcum Denlinger. “Everything’s a celebration. Walks? Celebration. Food? Celebration. He’s always so happy.”
Chevy is happiest when adventuring with his parents. Hiking, camping, or cruising around the campground in the front seat of their golf cart—hat on, harness secured—Chevy surveys his kingdom like a tiny, furry monarch.

“He rides the golf cart and checks out the whole area,” Denlinger says. “Everyone knows him. It’s like he’s in a parade. He’s so upbeat.”

While Chevy’s default is a grin, he does have his serious moments. A chilly breeze or an uncomfortable spot will make his smile fade, alerting his parents that something’s off. But show him food or a leash, and that joyful charm is back instantly.

Though Chevy is technically a senior, his energy says otherwise. He even has a quirky trick called the “spin dry,” spinning in circles whenever he wants something—a puppy-like habit that makes everyone around him smile.

Chevy’s joy isn’t just for his family. Anyone who crosses his path can’t help but feel happier. His grin is contagious, and his parents are convinced he knows exactly the effect he has on people.
“Everyone just gets a kick out of him because he’s so upbeat,” Denlinger says.
