Boy With Autism Who LOVES Pugs Gets The Best Birthday Surprise

Finally, the big day arrived. When Andrew and his family showed up at the park for his birthday party, there were 15 pugs waiting to surprise him. Over the course of the party, over 80 different pugs and their owners came by, all eager to spend time with Andrew and wish him a happy birthday.

“He was in shock,” Little said. “He kept asking ‘Is that a pug?!’ to each dog because he just couldn't believe his eyes. As if he didn't believe it was real life. I was so emotional. Everyone there was crying.”

For most of the party, Andrew just sat in the grass watching all of the pugs running all around him, reaching out to pet them whenever they came close. He had a look of pure joy on his face the entire time, and loved every single pug he met.

“A lot of people stood around Andrew with their pugs while Andrew played with them,” Little said. “It was very similar to a ‘pug meetup,’ which is a very common event for pug owners. Except this time there was food and a very happy birthday boy!”

Andrew and his family are so thankful to every person and dog who attended his birthday party. Andrew doesn’t always feel accepted by kids his age, but this year on his birthday he had all the love, friends and pug kisses he could ever ask for.

“He told me it was the best birthday he has ever had and that he wants to do this every year,” Little said.
