Lying Man Tells Cops “Stray” Dog Is Barking Constantly Outside In Snowstorm

When Justin Allen Brumbaugh called police to report a stray dog was outside barking in the middle of the night, he asked officers to come out and remove the animal.

Cops came out to the scene, and Brumbaugh told them he had no idea who the dog’s owner was but that it wasn’t his. Little did he realize it, but neighbors told police the man was lying to them.

The poor dog was barking because he was left out in the freezing weather and had nowhere to go. Sadly, the dog belonged to Brumbaugh. When officers again asked if the dog belonged to him.

Brumbaugh became vulgar before finally telling the truth. He allegedly told officers he wouldn’t let the dog back inside because he doesn’t get along with another animal in the house.

Temperatures on that cold night in Gilpin, Pennsylvania, were around 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

The dog was removed from Brumbaugh’s property and taken to a local shelter. He was charged with making false reports to law enforcement and animal cruelty, a misdemeanor.

Gilpin police Chief Chris Fabec told a local reporter the dog is in good health, but they request anonymity at this time.

We remind our readers to get in touch with local animal control or a local rescue if you can no longer care for your pets.

It is never a viable option to abandon or dump an innocent animal, as the outcome will likely be harm, abuse, death, or all three.
