Cat Found Skinny And Covered In Glue Blossoms Into A Fluffy, Happy Boy

When rescuers from Street Paws Bali first met Timothy, he was in heartbreaking condition. The malnourished cat’s fragile body was coated in thick, black glue — likely from being caught in a large mouse trap. Weak and exhausted, he could barely move when a staff member scooped him up and rushed him to the vet.

At the clinic, veterinarians worked for hours to gently scrub away the glue clinging to his fur. They gave him fluids, food, and the comfort he so desperately needed. Slowly, Timothy began to relax, leaning into the hands that were finally keeping him safe.

One rescuer, Eli, visited Timothy daily and watched his steady progress. Before long, Timothy was strong enough to leave the hospital and move into a foster home. His original rescuer, Mayang, opened her doors — and her heart — to him.

In Mayang’s care, Timothy flourished.

“He gained weight, and his fur started growing,” Eli shared in a video for The Dodo.

“He turned out to be even more beautiful than we expected.”

As the weeks passed, Timothy’s transformation was nothing short of astonishing. His dull, sticky coat gave way to a stunning gray-and-white mane, his eyes glowed with new life, and his once-weary body brimmed with energy.

But the biggest change came for Mayang herself. The more time she spent with Timothy, the more she realized she couldn’t let him go.

“It was a classic foster fail,” Eli said.

Today, Timothy is thriving in his forever home with Mayang and her rescue cats. Once a starving, glue-covered stray, he now spends his days safe, loved, and carefree.

“He’s just so happy,” Eli said.
