When Joe Cunningham and his partner brought home a puppy named Teddy earlier this year, they knew life would change — but they didn’t expect dinner to become this entertaining.

One night, the couple settled in with takeaway pizza and their favorite TV show. But when they opened the box, something unusual caught their eye.
Inside wasn’t just melted cheese and crust. Something pink was poking through a small hole in the cardboard — and it was moving.
“It was Teddy’s tongue!” Cunningham told The Dodo. “He was trying to sneak a taste through the tiniest gap.”
Instead of begging at the table like most dogs, Teddy had invented his own sneaky strategy for sampling pizza night.

The sight of his tiny tongue working overtime left his parents laughing — and realizing that from now on, every slice would come with a side of puppy antics.
“That little ‘topping’ from Teddy will be hard to top,” Cunningham said. “He’s just so cute.”
