Couple Stops Everything After Finding Five Fluffy Babies Abandoned In A Parking Lot

For more than 40 years, The Rabbit Haven has answered countless calls for help from strangers who stumble upon bunnies in need. But one recent call stood out — and broke their hearts.

“We received a call from two astonished Good Samaritans, Ricky and Colette,” The Rabbit Haven shared on Facebook. “They discovered five baby lops huddled together in a parking lot — clearly abandoned!”

The couple couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Right there, in the middle of a busy parking lot, sat five tiny, fluffy baby rabbits — scared, confused, and clinging to each other for comfort.

“They were so afraid, they just stayed huddled together,” The Rabbit Haven wrote.

No one knows how long the little family had been there, but Ricky and Colette knew one thing for sure: they weren’t going to leave them behind. Gently, they gathered the trembling bunnies into their arms, took them home, and immediately reached out to The Rabbit Haven for help.

The rescue team jumped into action, ready to give the little ones the safety and care they desperately needed. Soon, the five siblings — later named Robin, Rhona, Reeses, Roy, and Reayah — arrived at the rescue, where staff welcomed them with open arms.

“What a sad situation,” The Rabbit Haven wrote. “How cruel to leave defenseless babies out in the dirt in the hot sun. It looks like someone just pulled off the freeway and dumped them.”

Despite everything they’d been through, the bunnies showed remarkable resilience. With fresh food, soft bedding, and gentle care, they began to settle in — their fear slowly replaced by curiosity and trust.

“They are all very sweet,” The Rabbit Haven shared. “They’re quickly learning to use the litter box and are so happy to have a constant supply of food and love.”

Now that the bunnies are healthy and thriving, they’ve been cleared for foster care. The Rabbit Haven is searching for loving foster families to give these five little survivors the next step toward their forever homes.

“Let’s pull together and get these sweethearts into foster care where they can thrive,” the rescue wrote. “Please help them and show them the love they deserve.”

Ricky and Colette’s compassion turned what could have been a tragedy into a story of hope — proof that even a small act of kindness can change five tiny lives forever.
