
Records of how long these horses have been around come from science, history, and art. They have been featured in Chinese artwork as far back as 161 AD, and Charles Darwin documented them in South America in the 19th century.
Sioux Indians regarded the curly horse as a sacred mount, reserved for chiefs and medicine men. If these horses look a little bit familiar to you, but you just can’t place them, then chances are you’ve seen them depicted in works of art.
Regardless of where these horses came from, they are absolutely stunning. Look at this majestic creature just basking an hour or two away from the setting sun! He almost doesn’t real, more like something out of a fairy tale.

It’s pretty much a widely accepted and universal truth that if an adult animal is cute, the baby version of said animal will be even cuter! This young foal almost breaks the scale where cuteness is concerned. Look at that sweet face and silly little tail.
