Here's a list of the materials you'll need:

Felting wool – you can find this in your local craft/knitting supply store (you need it in colors: grey, white & black)
Felting (or craft) needle
Sponge / foam board

And here's the step-by-step on how to make these super cute DIY schnauzer puppy plushies:

Roll grey felting wool into a ball (size of a ping pong ball)
Make a smaller ball with the white felting wool (1/4 of the size of the grey one)
Attach the white and the grey felting wool balls together.
Make the nose with a small black felting wool ball.
Create the doggy facial details.
Make the famous schnauzer beard using the grey and white felting wool.
Trim the beard with scissors.
Add eyes (make your own eyes with black felting wool if you wish).
Add the schnauzer eyebrows using the white felting wool.
Make two triangular flaps for the doggy ears using grey felting wool.
Make the body (shape/size of a pebble) using grey felting wool.
Add a chunk of felting wool on one side & start stabbing!
Make the 4 legs (size of a kidney bean) using grey felting wool.
Attach the legs.
Wrap white felting wool around the feet & stabby stab stab! (and make cute little paw prints with small rolled up black felt wool balls).
Make two lines for the front paws with black fleeting wool.
Attach ears to the head.
