1. The Side Sleeper
This is a pretty common sleeping position that indicates your dog is comfortable with their surroundings and trust you and the environment they are in. A dog will often sleep on their side when they are ready for a deep sleep, say, after play time or a long walk.
The side sleeper will often find something to have their back resting on (like a wall, a sofa, your leg….) so they can be extra comfortable.
And though your dog may be guarded and alert when awake, she feels blessed to be in your home and company, and has an enormous sense of trust in you.
Dogs who sleep in this position tend to be happy-go-lucky and fiercely loyal.
