In the city of Grodno, Belarus, one tiny kitten has been stealing all the attention — thanks to his unusual fur.

When local shopkeeper Sergey Viktorovich adopted the young cat from a nearby village, he immediately noticed something remarkable: the kitten’s fluffy orange coat shimmered with a distinct green tint.

“I call him a miracle of nature,” Viktorovich said.
A veterinarian later confirmed that the kitten, now named Eraser, is perfectly healthy.
Unlike the rare case of a green puppy born in 2018 — whose color likely came from exposure to substances in the womb — Eraser’s hue is believed to be genetic.
“The vet said that he has a malfunction of some gene responsible for color,” Viktorovich explained.

Now the little green-tinted kitten has become both the family’s beloved pet and the official mascot of Viktorovich’s stationery shop.

“He is active, playful, inquisitive and affectionate,” Viktorovich said.

And while no one knows if his emerald glow will fade with age, his personality shines just as brightly.

“We have been enjoying him both at home and at the shop,” Viktorovich said. “Even our corgi loves him, too.”
