A dog named Moose sat patiently next to his dad’s hospital bed, waiting for him to come back. Sadly, he never would.
Moose’s owner had passed away, and once Moose realized he wasn’t coming back, he was heartbroken.
The three-year-old Lab mix was taken in by Eleventh Hour Rescue, who promised him they would find him a new, loving home. In the meantime, he stayed at EHR Kennel in Randolph, New Jersey, where he had many nice people helping to heal his heart.
Eleventh Hour Rescue, along with NorthStar Pet Rescue, shared Moose’s picture on Facebook of him standing next to his dad’s empty hospital bed. It went viral, tugging at people’s heartstrings. Soon after, the rescue received many applications of people wanting to adopt sweet Moose.
After sorting through applications and choosing the perfect fit, Moose has officially been adopted!
Moose’s broken heart will now heal much faster with help from his new family!
