When a young animal gets taken away from its mother too soon, the outcome is often unfortunate.
Apart from the fact that a newborn creature needs to be nursed by its mother, pups and kittens also learn important socializing skills from their parents at a very early age.
So when a 2-day-old pup was brought to the Michigan Humane Society after his mother died in a car accident, they knew he would need a surrogate mom.
