Pure Joy as Dog Recognizes Her Favorite Day of the Week

It’s a warm Wednesday afternoon in the U.K., and 3-year-old Macey, a spirited Staffordshire terrier, is on high alert. Sitting by the window, she watches the street with laser focus. She knows exactly what’s coming — and she’s not about to miss it.

Then, like clockwork, her ears twitch at the sound she’s been waiting for: the familiar jingle of the Sir Whippy ice cream van.

As soon as the pink-and-white truck rolls into view, Macey’s tail goes wild. In a blur of excitement, she bolts to the door.

“Every Wednesday, Macey hears the ice cream van almost half an hour before it even hits our street,” said her mom, Charlotte Brooks, in a TikTok post.
“It’s her absolute favorite day of the week.”

The Weekly Ritual

Macey’s home is already filled with love — doting parents, piles of toys, and an abundance of treats — but nothing compares to her weekly trip to the ice cream truck.

Brooks opens the door and off Macey goes, happily sprinting down the street. But even in her excitement, she pauses to make sure her mom is right behind her, checking back before every few steps. When they finally reach the truck, Macey greets her favorite vendor and waits patiently.

Her order is always the same: one small vanilla soft serve, just for her. Brooks treats herself to a bubblegum knickerbocker, but the real star of the moment is Macey — tail wagging, eyes sparkling.

She takes a few dainty licks at first, then hurries home to finish the rest in comfort.

Later that evening, Macey curls up in her bed with a full belly and a happy heart, already dreaming of next Wednesday.

On off-weeks or rainy days, she’s still in luck — her mom keeps a stash of backup ice cream just in case Sir Whippy takes a break.
